New York City, the Big Apple, was the location for our most recent tour from June 5 through June 9, 2025. We had a TON of fun exploring the city, meeting new people, and singing in some of the most beautiful venues ever. We traveled in on the 5th, got our bearings about us and wandered around a bit. Then on the 6th, we went on tours to Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 memorial and museum. That evening was filled with Broadway musicals and plays. On the 7th, we sang in Stuyvesant Park, practiced in the St. George Cathedral, and sang in the St. John the Divine Cathedral. On the 8th, we joined in a Sunday service at the Plymouth Church in Brooklyn, and later went to the top of One World Trade Center. On our last day, the 9th, we sang at the St. Patrick Cathedral at Rockefeller Center before heading to the airport and home.
It was an incredible trip. This first blog post is just the beginning. I will be continuing the narrative of our trip to New York City in future blogs. I'll also be exploring the long history of the Wasatch Chorale, along with some interviews and features from previous directors, along with photos and news clippings from the history of the Chorale.
For now, enjoy the slideshow commemorating our trip. The photos are from the members who graciously allowed us the glimpse into their lives on this great tour.
